"ORPHANS" FOR CHARITY
We've been pleased and proud with the number of people contributing to the International Red Cross on our original "Spark Hits for Those In Need" page. This is really good karma for all concerned and a great way for filmmakers, etc, to show that while their budgets may be small, their hearts are big.
So we've decided to continue this policy in HD, here on the "'Orphans' for Charity" page.
"Orphans," in this case, refers to effects clips that for one reason or another didn't make it into a collection, but are still quite useful.

INSTRUCTIONS: You will need to go to to the donations site for the International Red Cross and make a donation of $15 USD (the minimum allowed on the Red Cross site.) Use USD even if you are not in the United States.
IMPORTANT! When you reach the final payment screen (shown here) make SURE you put "detonationfilms@gmail.com" where it says "Please send a copy of the confirmation to the following email address" and hit SEND. We MUST get a confirmation directly from the Red Cross. Nothing else will be allowed. (If you screw up -- well, at least you donated to a good cause. Start again.) We will know your name from the receipt, but not your address. Once you have sent the receipt, write to us and let us know what address we should send the footage to, and which one you want. ALTERNATIVE METHOD! Go to your local blood donor center (US CANADA UK) and donate blood. Have your picture taken while donating, needle in one arm, and holding a sign in your other hand reading "DETFILMS." Email the photo (no tweaking) to us with information on what version of the footage you want. We'll not only send you the footage, we'll post your picture right here on the page to show how badass you are. Since we're not making any money from this, give us a few hours on the upload. |
