HD STAR MUZZLE FLASHES!
We finally found a flash suppressor for our .223 rifle and thought we could get some of those "Hollywood"-style flashes at last. But when we attached it to the rifle -- the muzzle flashes just went away! "Flash suppressors" really do eliminate muzzle flash, just like they should. But who cares about reality!? We wanna make movies! So we spent some time contricting the muzzle and juicing the rounds, and finally got some decent, real, star-shaped muzzle flashes. These can be used by themselves, or combined with our HD GunStuff to increase the awesomeness! Front, side, and three-quarter angles.
HD BBQ BILL!
A vaguely human shape, on fire. Actually, it's pretty good HD fire footage for lots of uses.
HD DETHSTAR!
Done for a friend's fanfilm, this explosion consists of eight blasts in sequence against the sky, for one big boom. Rife with possibility!
"ORPHANS FOR CHARITY"
We've been pleased and proud with the number of people contributing to the International Red Cross on our original "Spark Hits for Those In Need" page. This is really good karma for all concerned and a great way for filmmakers, etc, to show that while their budgets may be small, their hearts are big.
So we've decided to continue this policy in HD, here on the "Orphans for Charity" page.
"Orphans," in this case, refers to effects clips that for one reason or another didn't make it into a collection, but are still quite useful.
To obtain one of these clips, simply donate $15 per desired clip to the International Red Cross. A few minutes after the transaction is completed, the Red Cross will e-mail you a thank-you note and receipt.
Just forward this note to us at detonationfilms@gmail.com and tell us which clip you want, and we will send it to you electronically.
And if you don't have any money? Just go donate blood, and have a friend or the Red Cross volunteer photograph you in the process of giving blood, holding a piece of paper that indicates what clip you are giving blood to receive. Send us that photo, and we'll send you the clip!
